This past weekend, my boyfriend and I were supposed to go to Disney's Animal Kingdom, but he ended up getting sick. So we decided to postpone our trip until this upcoming weekend.
So in lieue of going to Disney, I woke up early yesterday (Sunday, 6am - my cats never let me sleep!) thinking that I would just jump into Dreamweaver to see what it was like. So for the rest of the technical development work time, I am going to tweak this site while I am reading the technical books and taking the netG classes.

I think for a first go-round, you did a really great job. In a couple of weeks I have a project due for my Electronic Publishing class in which I have to do a similar personal site, but I have to code the whole thing from scratch. Argh...
One thing you might try is including a div tag around the main content to sort of focus a visitor's attention on your navigation and content. I didn't see in the code that you linked to a CSS sheet, but that might also get you up to w3c standards and improve your searchability.

That is crazy that you are going to have to code the whole thing! I appreciate your comments and suggestions - I might have to have you clarify them more sometime during class because as you probably have figured out, I am not too web dev savvy, at least not yet:) Thanks again for your help!

Hey, the site looks great. Another thing you might want to try is playing around with templates in Dreamweaver. There are a whole bunch of websites that will let you use theirs for free. If you're interested you can do a search on google and you should get plenty of results, but if not just send me a message and I'd be happy to share some of the sites I've found!
